The safety lifecycle drifts quietly
Proof tests slip, bypasses stay in longer than anyone intended, a third-party integration was never fully documented, and the Safety Requirements Specification no longer matches what is in the logic solver. None of it shows up until an audit or an incident. An independent review finds it first.
What we offer
IEC 61511 Gap Assessment
A lifecycle review against IEC 61511 / ISA 84 with a prioritized remediation plan your team or integrator can execute.
SIS Migration Planning
Phased strategy to replace legacy or unsupported safety systems, with an independent review of vendor bids and cutover risk.
Integration & Remediation
Scope and oversight for fixing third-party SIS installs with known integration, diagnostics, or reliability issues.
What the gap assessment covers
- Safety Requirements Specification: does it match the hazard analysis and the logic as built?
- SIL verification status: are calculations current for today's devices, architecture, and test intervals?
- Proof testing: procedures, intervals, coverage, and whether the records prove it was done
- Bypass and override management: authorization, time limits, and compensating measures
- Management of change: how SIS changes are reviewed, approved, and documented
- SIS cybersecurity: the security risk assessment IEC 61511 requires, and separation from the BPCS and IT networks
- Obsolescence: logic solver, I/O, and field device support status and spares
How it works
Share documents
SRS, hazard and LOPA studies, proof-test records, bypass logs, and system configuration, under a mutual NDA.
Review & interview
Remote review plus short interviews with operations, maintenance, and process safety.
Prioritized plan
Findings ranked by risk, with clear actions, owners, and budget estimates.
Experience across the major safety platforms
More than 25 years selling, supporting, and managing service for Honeywell, Yokogawa, and Emerson safety systems, including SIS lifecycle and migration programs across refining, oil and gas, and chemical accounts. We work alongside your process safety team and certified functional safety engineers where SIL calculations or formal sign-off are required. We do not sell safety system hardware.
